About the Artist

 

Frank Roberts was born and grew up in Connecticut.  Throughout his education and early life he was encouraged to be an artist but his college education turned him to architecture as a profession.  He attended the University of Cincinnati’s school of architecture and subsequently worked for several prominent firms in New Haven, Connecticut.  He and his wife spent some time travelling in Europe and he opened his own practice in 1970.

 

These early years, that included two daughters, were spent in a small town just outside of New York City until moving to Maine permanently in 2003.  He now has a residence on the coast of Maine where he and his artist wife and family have created what they consider an ideal home for themselves.
